Centre for Health Informatics, National Institute of
Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW)
Project Overview
The National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI) project is for the deployment of qualified technical manpower to support the Centre for Health Informatics (CHI) at the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi. The engagement is structured under NICSI’s empanelled services framework and follows a Time & Material (T&M) model.
The scope of the project involves the deployment of four Level-10 Tier-3 technical resources, each possessing a minimum of five years of professional experience, to provide dedicated technical support for activities associated with health informatics initiatives undertaken by NIHFW. The resources are deployed on a man-month basis, with clearly defined effort, reporting, and billing mechanisms.
The objective of the project is to ensure the availability of experienced and competent technical professionals who can support ongoing informatics and IT-related functions of the Centre for Health Informatics, enabling continuity of operations and adherence to NICSI service delivery standards.
The business need arises from NIHFW’s requirement for reliable, skilled technical manpower to meet operational demands within the Centre for Health Informatics, without undertaking direct recruitment, while ensuring compliance with government procurement norms, NICSI empanelment terms, and defined performance reporting structures.
The engagement includes monthly progress reporting, validation of deliverables, and milestone-based billing, ensuring transparency, accountability, and governance throughout the contract duration. The entire assignment is time-bound, with execution and completion scheduled within the three-month period.
