Scanning and Digitisation of Records of Service (RoS) of Indian Army Veteran Officers
- Project Scope
NetCreativeMind Technologies Pvt. Ltd. successfully executed Phase-II of the Scanning and Digitisation of non-effective Records of Service (RoS) of Indian Army Veteran Officers in Delhi. The project involved large-scale digitisation of approximately 1 crore pages of legacy physical service records to enable secure digital preservation, faster access, and improved operational efficiency.
Physical RoS files were systematically scanned, digitised, and securely uploaded into a centralized Document Management System (DMS). A comprehensive indexing and metadata framework comprising 33 defined fields was implemented to ensure precise classification, quick search, and efficient retrieval of records. The digitised records were further integrated with defence applications such as RUDRA and ARPAN, supporting Indian Army workflows and applicant-centric processes.
The initiative significantly reduced manual file handling, improved turnaround times for record verification, and ensured secure, controlled access to sensitive defence data while adhering to stringent data security and compliance standards.
