Line-speed transfer
Big files. Any distance. No waiting.
Aspera moves time-critical data predictably — whether it's crossing a continent, a congested link or a hybrid cloud.
IBM Aspera is a high-speed data transfer platform built on IBM's patented FASP® technology. Traditional TCP-based tools like FTP and SFTP slow down sharply over distance, latency and packet loss; FASP was built to use the full available bandwidth instead — without network upgrades.
The result: predictable, high-throughput delivery of huge files and datasets, with centralised security and governance. As an IBM Silver Business Partner, NetCreativeMind designs, deploys and supports Aspera — including as part of IBM Cloud Pak for Integration and automated App Connect workflows.

Key Capabilities
A unified framework for unthrottled, line-speed transfers — even across cloud limits and compliance requirements.
FASP® — Extreme Speed at Any Distance
IBM's patented transport technology rewrites how data moves over the network. Unlike TCP, FTP and SFTP, FASP keeps transfers at full speed over long distances, high latency and packet loss — so global routes and congested links stay predictable.

How Aspera Works
From a slow, unreliable transfer to predictable delivery — without changing your network.
Connect endpoints
Deploy Aspera servers, cloud gateways or lightweight endpoints wherever data lives.
Transfer at line speed
FASP fills the available bandwidth, regardless of distance, latency or packet loss.
Automate the flow
Hot folders, sync jobs and APIs move data automatically into your business processes.
Monitor & govern
Track every transfer, set bandwidth priorities and enforce policies from one console.
Faster than FTP
Stop waiting on file transfers
The difference between a transfer that crawls overnight and one that finishes before the meeting starts.
With FTP, SFTP or HTTP
TCP-based transfer
Speed collapses as distance and latency grow
Packet loss stalls or fails large transfers
Expensive bandwidth sits largely unused
Couriered drives for the biggest datasets
Little visibility of who sent what, where

With IBM Aspera
FASP-powered transfer
Full speed at any distance — up to 100x faster
Reliable over congested, lossy networks
Uses the bandwidth you already pay for

Our IBM Aspera Services
From sizing your first deployment to running transfers around the clock, our IBM integration specialists make Aspera deliver from day one.
IBM Aspera is a high-speed file transfer and data movement platform. Built on IBM's FASP® technology, it moves large files and datasets far faster than FTP or HTTP, especially over long distances and unreliable networks.
How can it be faster on the same network?
TCP-based tools slow down sharply when latency or packet loss increases, leaving most of your bandwidth unused. FASP is designed to keep transfers at full available speed under those conditions — so you get more from the link you already have.
Is Aspera secure?
Yes. Aspera includes encryption, access controls and centralised, policy-based governance, with full visibility of every transfer. It is used for sensitive workloads such as HIPAA-regulated healthcare files.
Cloud or on-premises?
Both. Aspera on Cloud is IBM-hosted SaaS, while Aspera Enterprise and Lite are self-managed on your own servers or object storage. Many organisations combine them in a hybrid setup.
Can transfers be automated?
Yes. Aspera supports APIs, automated workflows, hot folders and large-scale directory synchronisation. We connect it to App Connect and your applications so files move without manual steps.
Is Aspera part of Cloud Pak for Integration?
Yes. High-speed transfer with Aspera is one of the capabilities in IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, alongside App Connect, API Connect, MQ and DataPower — an area our team specialises in.
